Dom Salmon

Dom Salmon is a writer, creative director, and founder of the independent imprint
The Datura Press, where he publishes fiction that blurs boundaries between the mythic, the political, and the deeply personal. His work spans genres and mediums — from speculative gothic novels to experimental detective fiction — and is rooted in a belief that the best stories are the ones that disturb, enchant, and refuse to behave.

Dom is also the founder of ICJam, an international creative studio known for producing original editorial, film, photography, and branded content for clients including Nespresso, Bacardi, HSBC, Toyota, and The National Theatre. He has led narrative and content development for global campaigns, bringing together writers, filmmakers, and photographers to build storytelling with emotional weight and cultural edge.

In parallel with his fiction, Dom is a regular contributor to Nikon Europe, where he writes about photography, visual language, and creative process. His articles span everything from mastering black-and-white images to the meditative art of prime lenses and the future of camera design — often exploring how seeing changes the way we think, and vice versa.

With The Datura Press, Dom is building a home for genre-defiant fiction

Dom lives in Florence, Italy, and works across Europe with a growing network of collaborators. He is currently developing further works of fiction, and welcomes conversations with agents, editors, and publishers who believe — like he does — that great stories should bloom darkly.
